Who we are
SG Digital Office and the National Environment Agency are expanding efforts to help hawkers benefit from technology by launching the Singapore Together Alliance for Action – Online Ordering for Hawkers. This workgroup, comprising delivery platforms, hawkers associations, community partners and government agencies, will be working closely together to support our hawkers by:
1. Helping them go online,
2. Develop a sustainable commercial model
3. Raise consumer awareness about delivery platforms
What to expect
To expand digital outreach for hawkers in Toa Payoh Lor 71 by creating an online presence for them and planning out initial marketing calendar and collaterals. This project is part of a multi-sectoral collaboration between IMDA and NEA, being an exciting step forward in the nationwide movement of helping hawkers digitalise. This project offers volunteers a chance to be part of the pilot marketing strategy programme, where their work will form the blueprint for other hawker digitalisation projects across Singapore
- Creating 1 FB and 1 Instagram page for the 7 pilot stalls of this programme ranging from Yong Tau Foo to chicken rice
- Creating marketing strategy on content to be displayed on social media pages
- Helping hawkers film their food preparation and finished product or even interviews with the hawkers themselves, creating initial collaterals which will be used as blueprint for other hawkers across Singapore (at least 1 session of filming)
